Colebrook Sturrock are pleased to announce our association with Canterbury Auction Galleries. For several years Canterbury Auction Galleries hosted Valuation Days in our offices whereby clients and members of the public may benefit from the specialist advice that David Parker and Cliona Kilroy and other specialists can provide. Such Valuation Days saw an extraordinary range of items brought in to be assessed, sometimes with surprising outcomes.
In 2012 a longstanding client of Colebrook Sturrock brought in a piece of china whose importance was immediately recognised by a specialist from CAG. He was invited to see the rest of the collection which was subsequently sold in a specialised sale, achieving almost three times the original estimate before the strength of interest from overseas had been assessed.
The Canterbury Auction Galleries are able to work side by side with Colebrook Sturrock in providing probate valuations for both homes and their contents and are available for home visits by appointment.
